This web site started as a personal hobby about 6 years ago. At that time the focus of my attention was on Johnny Smith. The goal was to create the definitive Johnny Smith Discography.

Over the course of the last 5 years the site has grown to include more guitar players and more information.

Every month I add new information about the best of the classic guitarists and their music from the 1930’s, 1940’s, 1950’s.

Studying the work of these guitarists has greatly enriched my understanding of jazz guitar and jazz in general.
